Most of the time Rotary events take months of planning, but do they have to?  The answer is no.  Of course there is a need for planning but sometimes an opportunity presents its self and you have to have the courage to take it, something that our club did this week.  I saw an opportunity, sent out a message and that was it the wheels were in motion and the club was in action.

Comedy night, a huge success

The area’s newest rotary club, The Rotary E-Club of District 1070 held its first major event last Friday. Months in the planning, the club attracted over 135 guests to a sell-out comedy night held at the home of British Racing. The event was the brain child of new Rotarian, Iain Borner but the organisation and delivery of the event was a real team effort.
