Cooking with Rashmita

Cook along with Rashmita and learn to create authentic Indian dishes

A Coats4Kids initiative by The Rotary E-Club of District 1070

For £15 per person through this experience you will gain knowledge and confidence in preparing a delicious Biryani and Raita in the comfort of your own home.

4.3 million children in the UK live below the poverty line*

One million school children aged between 4-11 do not have suitable winter coats or school shoes!

Schools tell us that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Many parents are struggling with rising costs and are unable to provide their children with food and other basic necessities including coats and shoes. This is a shocking statistic for a first world country.

Our aim, starting next winter, is to give one million children a pair of school shoes and a new winter coat.

The evening will consist of a short health and safety briefing followed by Rashmita talking us through the ingredient list. Once that is complete it will be all hands on putting the dishes together before we enjoy them.

You will also get a chance to see Rashmita demonstrating how to make paratha and make date pickle.

“Cooking should be a joy rather than a chore”.
