the project

Did you have a nice warm coat growing up?

If you did, you were probably one of the lucky ones. Today in the UK, there are 1.6 million children living in poverty.

Do you think buying a new winter coat is a priority for these families? For many, it isn’t as food and heating are more important.

Sure, these children can have a secondhand hand-me-down coat, which will do. But why should it do? Why should these children not have a new warm winter coat?

They don’t get to choose who they are born to.

A brand new warm winter coat can allow a child living in poverty the feeling of pride they may never have experienced before. It can make them feel like their peers on the way to school and at playtimes. It can keep them warm so they are ready to learn.

Would you like to help a child living in poverty within the UK?

If so, simply buy a voucher for £25 here:

You can choose where your voucher goes or we can find a needy home for it, the choice is yours.

We will do our best to ensure your voucher is redeemed where you have requested. However on the rare occasion that your voucher is not redeemed in your preferred location we will find another child within the UK that needs it.

Due to the size of this project after just one winter of providing coats, Coats4Kids has now become a registered charity. Our charity number is:

We are still very much linked to the E-Club of District 1070 as all of our trustees are members of this club.

We have raised a whooping amount of money this year which has allowed us to do the following:
